    Air Force Academy/Pilot

It is my goal to attend the USAFA and become a fighter pilot. I will be a junior for the 08-09 school year. Can I do anything besides clubs, good grades, community service, good test scores, and leadership positions right now? If so, what? Also, I had a hole in my heart called an ASD (atrial septal defect).  It was a relatively small hole and I had it closed a month ago. It has no effect on my performance at all. Will this stop me from being a pilot?

                               Thanks

It would help if you post in the correct forum...

The things you posted are the important aspects for preparation.  Between you junior and senior year you need to start the application process.  You will need to contact your congressman and senators for their applications and go to www.academyadmissions.com to start the academy's application.

Also, look into the academy's Summer Seminar.  It is a great program to learn more about the academy.
