Major U.S. airlines had safest year ever in 2002

There were no fatalities, and only nine passengers were seriously injured among all USA airlines in 2002.
But 2002 was also the worst ever for the nation's major airlines financially, with losses of $11.3 billion.
Hope the USA airlines industry can recover soon while maintaining such safe record.
