Air service to smaller towns of USA has dropped 18 percent in the past five years, and in the last two years alone, 39 smaller cities have lost all their flights.

Because of this, Enter Ray and Neal Morrow, a father-and-son team sets up Sky Taxi to serve smaller towns.

SkyTaxi takes people where they want to go when they want to go. There is no set schedule. Passengers do not have to charter the whole plane — they can just buy a single seat. The cost is more expensive then booking a commercial flight — about 20 percent more — but for those with no other option, SkyTaxi is a godsend.

They fly out of eight rural communities in western Oregon, flying to airports in Washington state, Idaho, Nevada and northern California. They have flown 3,700 passengers to 85 cities.

Ann Crook, director of Oregon Department of Aviation, says other communities might want to look at the SkyTaxi model.

Some people claimed that Sky Taxi is very good, as there is no time restrictions for scheduled flight, so greatly reduces travelling time, thus enabling them to do more business.

The even better thing is, there is no airport secutiry hassles or waiting. Passengrs just need to show up 2 mintes before the flight, give his baggages to the pilot, show him the identification and go.
